Over 20 years of experience working in Telecommunications and always in support of the Worldwide Salesforce in many different roles. I have been with Cisco for almost ten years now and working in Worldwide Sales Force Development (SFD) for about six years. Most of my time within the SFD organization has been in the Virtual Team Program, which I have now been Managing for about three years. The Virtual Team Program has been in existence at Cisco for over thirteen years and its primary mission since day one has been to "Maintain Worldwide Sales force Technical Specialist knowledge and continued exposure to Cisco's cutting edge Solutions through communities of interest targeted at increasing sales excellence in key technology areas". Essentially, the Virtual Team Program was specifically designed, using various (and ever changing) technologies, to allow worldwide Specialist to continuously come together to share best practices amongst themselves as well as provide the Business Units ("widget makers" or subject matter experts) with a platform to hear from the field as well as keep the field informed. The Virtual Team Program is considered a premier program at Cisco, with over 4000 members and a very high rate of return on content usage (Searchable VoD, MP3, MP4, etc). My team is responsible for running the Virtual Team Program and ensuring whatever we do is directly in alignment with the Salesforce requirements.
