Robin T. Williams has been a computer geek since childhood. She taught High School and Elementary School for 13 years in California and Moscow, Russia. She has been a technology consultant and leader since 1984. She presented for ISTE and other groups in Second Life, was a project manager and builder for Knowville 3D a builder and leader on the San Jose State University’s School of Libarary and Information Science Virtual Campus and the American Library Association sim. Robin has been a virtual world resident and leader since 1997 and works for Sun Microsystems, Digital Libraries and Research with an emphasis in Virtual worlds like Wonderland and Second Life.

Robin T. Williams, also known as Greylin Fairweather in Second Life, co-authored a book with *Dr. David Loertscher* entitled, /In Command! Kids and Teens Build Their Own Information Spaces and Learn to Manage Themselves in Those Spaces/ [*1 <http://slisweb.sjsu.edu/slis/meet/2007/meet2007nov20.htm#book1>*]. She presented the concepts in the book at Treasure Mountain Retreat <http://www.seedwiki.com/wiki/treasure_mountain/treasure_mountain?wpid=710382&searchresult=710382>,and at the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) annual conference both in Reno. She also spoke on a panel at the Virtual Worlds at Work Symposium in 2008 on using virtual worlds for sales training. At Sun she is involved in a variety of projects including the Digital Library & Research Space, the New Hire Project and Solaris Campus.
